Spark Inventory
For Shopify stores replacing Stocky

Stocky is gone.Keep your history. Get a real forecast.

Shopify retired Stocky on August 31, 2026. Native Shopify now covers purchase orders, transfers and stock counts, but your Stocky purchase order history cannot be imported into Shopify. Spark imports it, learns each supplier’s real lead time from it, and pairs it with Demand ESP forecasts so every reorder point and draft PO is built from your own data.

Why Spark

Six reasons Stocky stores move to Spark

Each one is a workflow you can open in Spark today. Stocky and Shopify details come from Shopify’s own Stocky transition guide.

Your history01

Keep the purchase order history Shopify cannot take

Export your Stocky purchase orders before the export window closes and hand them to Sparki. Spark imports them as closed orders, creates the suppliers they name, and measures how long each supplier actually took to deliver. Those lead times feed every reorder point from day one.

Stocky

Shopify says historical purchase orders cannot be imported, and suppliers cannot be exported from Stocky.

Spark

Historical PO import that seeds suppliers and real lead times, reviewed before anything lands.

Forecasting02

A forecast for every SKU, not a suggestion list

Demand ESP sorts every SKU as steady, trending, seasonal or intermittent, then backtests several forecasting models against that SKU’s own history and keeps the one that predicted it best. It adds back sales lost while you were out of stock, and handles seasonality, new items and promotions.

Stocky

Shopify now points to Sidekick reorder suggestions and custom reports.

Spark

Per-SKU Demand ESP forecasts with backtested model choice, stockout correction, and an A to D trust grade on each forecast.

Reorder points03

Safety stock sized from how wrong the forecast has been

Spark sets each reorder point from the forecast, the supplier’s lead time and how much both have varied. Safety stock is sized from the forecast’s own past misses at the service level you choose, so steady sellers carry less and erratic ones carry more.

Stocky

Shopify’s guide describes no reorder point calculation. Min and max levels are set by hand in metafields.

Spark

Reorder points and safety stock recalculated per SKU and per location, with the math shown.

Text with Sparki04

Know when to reorder, by text

Spark watches on hand, open purchase orders and committed orders against every reorder point. Text with Sparki tells you when an item needs ordering, answers questions about stock from your phone, and you approve the drafted PO with one reply.

Stocky

Shopify suggests building low-stock alerts yourself in Shopify Flow.

Spark

Live reorder and stockout alerts plus Text with Sparki on Solo ($99/mo) and up.

Spark MCP05

Bring your own AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to Spark through Spark MCP. Ask about stock health, forecasts and open purchase orders, or run the Stocky import from your assistant. Every change waits for a person to approve it.

Stocky

Sidekick works inside Shopify admin.

Spark

Sparki in app, Text with Sparki, and governed Spark MCP access for the assistant you already use.

Operations06

Purchasing, receiving and counts in one place

On Operate, Spark runs the full purchase order lifecycle, supplier terms and price books, receiving with exceptions, landed cost, transfers, bin locations and cycle counts, and keeps Shopify stock levels in sync.

Stocky

Shopify transfers move stock between locations only, not between bins, and landed cost allocation needs another app.

Spark

Bin-level moves, landed cost on receipts, and cycle counts by location or ABC class on Operate ($349/mo).

Is Spark right for you?

Spark is built for Shopify stores that

If you only need to create and receive purchase orders, native Shopify may be enough. Spark is for stores that want the buying decision itself made from their data.

  • You want your Stocky purchase order history and supplier lead times kept, not left in a spreadsheet.
  • You want a real forecast for every SKU, including seasonality, promotions and new items.
  • You want reorder points and safety stock calculated for you, not typed into metafields.
  • You want to be told when to reorder, by text, and approve the PO with one reply.
  • You want to ask your own AI assistant about stock through Spark MCP.

Stocky migration FAQ

Questions buyers ask before switching

Is Stocky still available?+

No. Shopify delisted Stocky from the App Store on February 2, 2026, and Stocky stopped working on August 31, 2026. Shopify says you keep read-only access to export your data for at least 90 days after that date.

What should I export from Stocky?+

Export your purchase orders, including supplier, order and received dates, items, quantities and costs, using Stocky’s built-in reports. Shopify cannot import historical purchase orders and suppliers cannot be exported directly, so the purchase order export is the record of who you buy from and how long they take.

Can Spark import my Stocky purchase orders?+

Yes. Hand the export to Sparki in app, or to your own AI assistant through Spark MCP. Spark maps and validates the file, shows you the proposed import, and writes the orders as closed history once you approve. It creates the suppliers they name and measures each supplier’s real lead time, which feeds reorder points.

How is Demand ESP different from Shopify’s reorder suggestions?+

Demand ESP forecasts every SKU from its own history. It backtests several models per SKU and keeps the one that predicted best, adds back sales lost to stockouts, and handles seasonality, new items and promotions. Each forecast gets an A to D trust grade, and safety stock is sized from the forecast’s past errors.

Which Spark plan replaces Stocky?+

Free gives one user a monthly forecast and buying plan. Solo ($99/mo) adds live forecasts, reorder alerts and Text with Sparki. Operate ($349/mo) runs purchase orders, receiving, transfers and bin moves in Spark. Each paid plan has a 14-day free trial.

Does Spark keep Shopify stock levels in sync?+

Yes. Spark connects to Shopify, imports your products and order history, and keeps inventory levels in sync across your Shopify locations. It also connects to Amazon, WooCommerce, Square, Faire, Etsy, QuickBooks Online and Xero.
